Obituary

Beatrice "Aunt Bea" Arlene Richardson, 86 of Baxter, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Skiff Hospice Monarch Wing on Wednesday, August 03, 2011. Visitation will be on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the United Congregational Church of Christ in Baxter from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Restland Cemetery in Baxter will be her final resting place. "Bea" was born on December 6, 1924 to Elmer and Dorothy (Rader) Klauenberg in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended Baxter schools and following high school "Bea" married the love of her life Keneth Richardson on February 21, 1946 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Of this union two daughters were born. They resided in Baxter all of their lives where "Bea" was a cook and also was the local bar owner of Aunt Bea's. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Baxter. "Bea" enjoyed life to the fullest and was a friend to so many. She had such a great love for her family and they were the most important thing to her. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her daughters, Nanci (David) Deaton of Baxter, and Rebecca Richardson-Osland of Baxter; her grandchildren, John Oliviera, Amy Hansen, and Missey (Randy) Roush; great-grandchildren, Danialle Bond, Steven Whitman, John Whitman, Elisha Whitman, Ivan Hansen Jr., Kalab Hansen, Callyn Bishop, Haley Johnston, Shania Roush, Jusson Roush, Hannah Oliviera; great-great-grandchildren, Aidan Bond, and Myah Johnston; her siblings, Barb Johnson, Berdene (special friend Harlan) Hicks, and Katherine (Ralph) Allspach. "Bea" was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Sondra, brother Byron, Richardson brother and sister-in-laws, and her granddaughter Lisa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Blank Children's Hospital Kidney Foundation, or the Baxter Community School district in "Bea"'s name.
