Corina Hook, 69 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2011. Visitation will be on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada, Iowa. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. in the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa. Corina was born on November 22, 1941 to Leoncia Valdes and Jose Jimenez in Panama. When she was a young lady her family relocated to the United States and she attended high school in Manhattan, KS. After school she married Cleaburn Wolfe. Of this union three children were born. Corina and Cleaburn separated and she relocated to San Diego, CA. While in San Diego she met the love of her life Larry Hook. Larry and Corina were married on July 3, 1966 in Las Vegas, NV. Of this union two twin sons were born. The family relocated to Iowa where they have resided since. She was a dedicated housewife with a great love for her family, collecting jewelry, making jewelry, and her pets. Those left to cherish Corina's memories are her loving husband of 44 years, Larry Hook of Zearing; four sons, Patrick (Cathy) Hook of Chicago, and John (Kim) Hook of Scottsdale, AZ, Eduardo Wolfe, Ricky Wolfe; one daughter Corralia Wolfe; one brother Anthony Colombo of Kissimee, FL; and one sister Nadia. Corina was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial fund has been entrusted in Corina's name. Fredregill Family Funeral Home in Zearing has been entrusted with the care of Corina and her family.
