Corinne Olson, 84, of Zearing, passed away peacefully with her son Mark by her side, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg, Iowa, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Immediately following visitation, her memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kathy Sandmann officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Corinne was born in Titonka, Iowa to Earl and Marieta (Huber) Zwiefel. She grew up in Titonka where she attended school and graduated from Titonka Consolidated School District with the class of 1958. Following high school, Corinne attended Mankato College where she earned her degree. She then married Wilford Johnson and they resided in Austin, Minnesota. To this union three children were born. On October 2, 1971, Corinne married Roger Olson. They moved to Loveland, Colorado before returning to Titonka. Corinne worked as the Business Manager of the Sentral Community School of Fenton. In 1996, they moved to Zearing, Iowa where Corinne began working at Colo-NESCO School as the business manager. After her retirement from Colo-NESCO, Corinne worked at Nelson Electric in Ames.
Corinne was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Hubbard where she served as a trustee, counsel member, and helped in any capacity that she was needed. Corinne was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg where she served as a trustee and organized the annual Kumla Dinner. She also was a member of the Business Manager's Association.
Corinne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, and playing the accordion and organ.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children Rick (Shere) Johnson, Mark (Valerie) Johnson, and Kirk (Mary) Johnson; grandchildren Jasmine (Michael McCoy) Johnson, Jessica (Mark) Gellerman, and Tyler Nesset; great-grandchildren Lane and Bryce Nesset, and Colson and Cecilia McCoy; sister-in-law Arletta Woods; many cousins; nieces and nephews; and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, grandson Colton Johnson, and brother Kermit Zwiefel.
