Duane Edward Sievert, 51, of Maxwell, Iowa, passed away on April 5, 2023. A visitation will be held at the Maxwell Community Center in Maxwell, Iowa on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held at the Maxwell Community Center at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 14, 2023. A brief graveside committal service will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. Afterwards, the family invites everyone to reconvene at the Maxwell Community Center for a luncheon. Duane was born on November 26, 1971 in Joliet, Illinois, to parents Steve and Donna (Hoffmeyer) Sievert. He attended Plainfield High School, graduating in 1989. Duane met Renee Crowder in 1996. The couple were later married in 1998 and had eight children together. Duane worked for Prairie Meadows as an IT technician for nearly 15 years. When he wasn't working, he had many interests to occupy his time. He loved reading, listening to music and playing guitar, as well as singing karaoke and dancing with his kids. He was also passionate about his religion, and enjoyed having theological conversations with his friends and family members. He was a proud member of the Sacred Mission Church of Collins, Iowa. Those left to cherish Duane's memory are his wife Renee; parents Steve Sr. and Donna Sievert of Plainfield, IL; his children including son Caleb, 23, of Maxwell, daughter Elizabeth (Kyle), 21, of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Hannah (Cameron), 20, of Ankeny, son Joshua (Mackenzie), 19, of Ankeny, son Samuel, 15, of Maxwell, daughter Ariel, 13, of Maxwell, daughter Emily, 7, of Maxwell, and daughter Allison, 6 of Maxwell; and his brother Steve Jr. (Sandy) Sievert of New Lennox, IL. Care for Duane and his family has been entrusted to Fredregill Funeral and Cremation Care.
