Elsa Fausta Rivera, 63, of Polk City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be at the Polk City United Methodist Church on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Polk City United Methodist Church with Pastor Hugh Stone officiating. Burial will follow at the Lincoln Cemetery in Granger, Iowa. Elsa was born on August 4, 1953 in Jauja, Peru to Silvestre and Juana (Ballasco) Camac. Following high school she met Pio Rivera and the couple relocated to Oskaloosa, Iowa and married in 1973. They began and raised their family in Oskaloosa. They retired to Ames prior to calling Polk City home. Elsa was a member of the Oskaloosa First Methodist Church and the Polk City United Methodist Church. Elsa focus in life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She also enjoyed traveling, watching TV especially her soap operas, and following her families sporting events. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her husband Pio; children Dwight (Ingred) Rivera, Bonnie (Federico) Valverde, Stanley (Ashley) Rivera; grandchildren Isabella, Alejandra, Victoria, Leonardo, Eloise, Dwight Jr., Sabastian, and Nova; sisters Clorinda (Larry) Gaston, Rosario (Jose) Urbano, Rosa (Dino) Espinoza, Lucia (Jorge) Orosco; brother Dionicio (Lurdes) Camac; sister-in-law Norma (Isaias) Lope; nieces Lucila, Antonieta, Grace, Chivi, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Elsa was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law Antonieta; and father-in-law Grimaldo. Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care have been entrusted with the care of Elsa and her family.
