Elsie L. Plummer, 91 of Mesa, AZ, and formerly of Baxter, IA, went to be with the Lord on Monday May 31, 2010. A memorial service will be held on June 21, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Fredregill Family Funeral Home in Baxter. Born Elsie L. Osborn, on November 2, 1918, in Jasper County Iowa, she was the daughter of Willis and Ora (Gillfillan) Osborn. Elsie was united in marriage to Kenneth Plummer on Aug 18th, 1939. Both Elsie and her husband were employed with the National Park Service in Yellowstone National Park. After retirement in 1976, they moved to Mesa, Arizona. Elsie is survived by her brother Arthur Osborn, nephews, Leon Osborn, Ted Sharer, Tom Sharer, Tim Sharer, and by her nieces Ranae Hamor and Billie Jo Tow. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Plummer, sisters Thelma Sharer, Florence Osborn, Wilma Osborn (infancy), and her parents. Elsie will be laid to rest in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter, IA. Fredregill Family Funeral Home, in Baxter, has been entrusted with the care of Elsie and her family.
