Hilma Addie Krueger, 93, of Zearing, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Bethany Life in Story City, Iowa. A visitation will be held at Fredregill Funeral Home, 310 N. Center Street, Zearing, Iowa, on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with light refreshments being served. Funeral services will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Anjenette Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, Iowa. Hilma was born to Chris and Addie (Koeppel) Muschick on a farm near St. Anthony, Iowa on February 29, 1924. She was baptized on June 4, 1925. After graduating from Zearing High School in 1941, Hilma attended and graduated from Thompson Beauty School in Des Moines, Iowa in June of 1942. She spent the next several years working at Younkers Beauty Salon in Des Moines, Iowa. On January 23, 1947, Hilma married Albert Aaron Krueger of Hubbard, Iowa. After marriage, Hilma operated her beauty shop from her home in Zearing for over 60 years. Hilma was a member of Zearing Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #116 in Zearing, Iowa for 65 years. Albert and Hilma were active members of the Zearing community throughout their entire lifetime. Hilma enjoyed spending time with her family, talking with friends, and cooking. Those left to cherish Hilma's loving memories are her two sons Dennis Krueger (Brenda Shoultz) of West Des Moines, IA and Craig (Vickie) Krueger of Nevada, IA; grandchildren David (Jessica) Krueger of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Elizabeth (Matthew) Corbin of London, UK, Aaron Krueger of Nevada, IA, Stephanie (Eric) McCoy of Nevada, IA; and great-grandchildren Sebastian and Owen Krueger. Hilma is preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Addie, and her husband Albert of 62 years. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used for a memorial bench to be provided to the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing in memory of Albert and Hilma.
