Jane Marie Fuchs was born on December 24, 1963, to Art and Jeanie (Pollock) Braun in Iowa. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and a bit of quirkiness that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She attended Baxter Community School and ventured to Hawaii. When she returned, she welcomed her first daughter Janell into the world in 1981. Nine years later, in 1990, her second daughter, Brooke, was born. She was a hard worker and had several careers in her lifetime. Among her many roles, some of her favorites were at V.O. Concrete, Iowa Beverage, and Maytag. Her work ethic was matched only by her sense of humor, which could light up any room.
Jane later went on to earn an associate degree from DMACC, proving that it's never too late to pursue your dreams. Her creative spirit was boundless, manifesting in her incredible talent for painting and her love for dressing up in elaborate costumes--often for no reason other than to bring joy to those around her. Jane's costumes were legendary, and she loved making them for friends and family, showcasing her remarkable craftiness and imagination. Her love for the 80's, Brad Pitt, and Prince was no secret to anyone that knew her.
Her grandkids adored her, and Jane cherished every moment spent with them, passing down her craftiness and humor. In 2009, Jane found and married her soulmate Gene, and they embarked on a new chapter together. Three years ago, they moved to Cresco, Iowa, where they discovered the simple pleasures of life, fishing, and enjoying each other's company.
Jane's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with humor, creativity, and a love that knew no bounds. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and countless memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her sweet memory are her husband, Eugene Fuchs; children, Janell (Scott Richardson) Travis and Brooke (Joe Larkin) Bergloff; step-children, Shaun Fuchs and William (Maggie) Fuchs; grandchildren, Josslynn, Jenner, Mac, and Donnie; siblings, Denny (Kerry Balbiani) Braun, and Marty (Diane) Braun; aunt, Carol Trotter; mother-in-law, Betty Fuchs; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Julie Riccio; and Aunt Vi Landis.
