Janice Anderson, 78, of Zearing, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2025, at the Zearing Health Care Center. Her memorial service will be held on Friday July 25th at Fredregill Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to her memorial service. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, Iowa. Janice was born on July 7, 1946, in Iowa City, Iowa to Glen and Vildren (Perkins) Woods. Janice grew up in Rippey Iowa where she attended High School and graduated with the class of 1964. On July 11, 1985, Janice married Merle "Ben" Anderson in McCallsburg, Iowa and they lived in Zearing. Janice enjoyed camping, reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish her loving children Tom (Sarah) Shadle of Ely, IA and Bobbi Madison of Zearing, IA; grandchildren TJ Shadle of Ely, IA and Corey Shadle of Ely, IA, and Skyler Madison of Texas and Cloe Madison of Nevada; brother Glen Woods Jr. of Oskaloosa, IA; and many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merle "Ben", brother Tom Woods, and sister Joyce Smotherman. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
