Jodie Renae Toft, 54, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at the Courtyard by Mariott 2405 SE Creekview Drive, Ankeny Iowa on March 1st from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Jodie was born in Ames, Iowa, on December 8, 1970, to Lavern and Patricia (Weidner) Reece. She grew up in Zearing, Iowa where she attended NESCO and Colo-NESCO where she graduated with the class of 1989. Following school, Jodie attended Iowa State University then Wayne State University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree. After college Jodie moved to Spencer, Iowa where she lived until she moved to Ankeny. Jodie worked at Lifetime Fitness then Good Life RV. Jodie loved spending time with her family and her dog, happy hour with friends, and tending to her precious flowers. She is survived by her brothers Jeff (wife Dawn, child CJ); and Scott (wife Joanie, children Lauren and Connor); aunts/uncles Sandra Phillips (John), Jerry Weidner, Sharon Willey, Joan Vanordstrand (John), Dolores Reece; many cousins; and her beloved English cream golden retriever, Dillion. She was preceded in death by aunts/uncles Larry & Romona Reece; Leo Reece; and Mike McGrew; and her loving parents Pat and Lavern Reece. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Puppy Jake Foundation in memory of Jodie Toft. Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care has been entrusted with the care of Jodie.
