Joreen Fisher, 73, of Zearing, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Zearing, Iowa on Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. A private family burial will be held in the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing. Joreen Joyce Towle was born on October 9, 1946 to Elsie May (Appleton) Towle and Carl Benson Towle and left this life on February 5, 2020 at the age of 73. She was raised in Zearing and graduated from NESCO High School in 1964. Joreen met Robert (Bob) Fisher and after a time spent dating she asked him, "Are we going to get married or what?" He said 'yes' and on April 8, 1972 they joined hands and households raising five children along the way. Joreen loved vacations of swimming, boating, and fishing with the kids when they were young, and adding the grandkids to the adventures as they came along. She loved a good crossword and if she struggled with a word, she asked one of her grandkids to get out their "magic machines" to help. It was a life filled with moments and memories, love and laughter and the big family that she always envisioned for herself. Throughout her life, Joreen worked various jobs, but loved her time at Wal-Mart the most because it gave her a chance to meet and talk to so many people. Left behind to tell her stories are her five children: Carol (Bob), Robert (Esie), Sherry (Ben), Julie (Rod), Ann (Jim); 13 Grandchildren: Robert (Sarah), Chris, Matt (Rachel), Jacob (Melissa), Michael, Janey (Will), Morgan (Tyler), Madison (Matt) , Nathan (Laura), Haley, Dustin, Gabrielle, and Adam as well as two great children, Robert and Claude. Also left to cherish her memories are her brother Tom. Joreen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother (Stephen), sister (Carol), and Grandson (Curtis) and her husband of 46 years, Robert.
