Kenneth “Kenny” Vincent Weig, age 80, of Hubbard, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Hubbard Care Center. A private visitation and graveside service will be held, with burial to follow at Bevin’s Grove Cemetery in Clemons, Iowa.

Born on April 17, 1946, in Algona, Iowa, Kenny was the son of Edward and Adline (Drummer) Weig. He spent his early years in Wesley, Iowa, until his family moved to Hubbard in 1959. Kenny was a dedicated member of the Hubbard Fire Department. He found joy in spending time with his family, engaging in various construction projects, tinkering, playing fast-pitch softball, golfing, socializing with friends, and driving his beloved 1977 Monte Carlo, affectionately known as “Black Betty.”

He is survived by his children, Michael (Shelly) Burg and Shelly Kerchner; grandchildren Brandy, Tanner, Dylan, Trevor, Ashlyn, Brennan, and Ambrea; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings Lou Weig, Jim Weig, Jerry Weig, Carole (Harris) Steinfeldt, Ruth (Dan) Coleman, Rosie (Bruce) Gray, and Norma Shattuck; sister-in-law Barb Weig; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and close friends who cherished his companionship.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola; daughter Sharon Lepsic; siblings Mary Lou Scovill, Ronnie Weig, and an infant brother; sisters-in-law Sheri Weig and Norma Bailey; brothers-in-law Marlyn Scovill, Orville Nordstrom, Jerry Bailey and Jake Shattuck; and nephew Lee Lawrence.
