Lola Mae Weig, 71, of Hubbard, passed away on Tuesday, June 16 , 2015 at home under the care of Israel Family Hospice of Ames. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Church in Zearing. Visitation is Friday, June 19 at the Christian Church in Zearing from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Bevins Grove Cemetery, north of Clemons. Lola Mae Weig was born June 30, 1943 in Story City, the daughter of Orville Ira and Georgia Iona Clark Nordstrom. She graduated from Nesco High School in 1960. She worked as a beautician in St. Anthony and Hubbard. She also drove the school car, transporting preschoolers for the Hubbard-Radcliffe School District. On July 10, 1993 Lola was married to Kenneth Weig. They made their home in Hubbard. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Weig and three children: Shelly ( Doug) Kerchner, Loveland, Ohio, Sharon (David) Lepsic, Haines City, Florida and Michael (Shelly) Burg, Zearing. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Norma (Jerry ) Bailey and a brother, Orville Nordstrom, both of Zearing, several nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
