Lorene Marjorie Sabin, 97, of Baxter was born on November 8, 1921, in Rhodes, IA, to August and Sarah (Klein) Dee. She passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Accura Healthcare in Baxter, IA. Per her wishes a graveside service will be held at a later date in Restland Cemetery in Baxter. Lorene married Harold Oler in 1938. She married Wilbur Sabin on July 5, 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD. Lorene worked at the Daisy Cafe and retired from Winpower Corporation in Newton. She was a member of the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included embroidery and her flower gardens. Lorene is survived by her daughters Marilyn Oler Wilson of Johnston, IA, Linda Fuller of Melbourne, IA, Marlene Schweinebart of Baxter, IA, Patty (Jim) Schweinebart of Baxter, IA; son Jerry Sabin of Nevada, IA; step-daughter Bev (Larry) Nance of Des Moines, IA; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; brother Darrell Dee of Baxter, IA; and may nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbur Sabin in 1987, grandson Patrick Schweinebart, granddaughter Valerie Schweinebart, great-grandson Caleb Schweinebart, step-son Bob Sabin, sons-in-law Joseph Fuller and Jimmie Wilson, daughter-in-law Sheila Sabin, six brothers Glenn, Lloyd, Ivan, Harold, Leland, and Everett Dee.
