The undefeated arm-wrestling champion of the world, Nichlos "Nicky" Cox, 63, of Baxter, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Pleasantville, Iowa. A private family service and burial will be held. Nicky was born on May 31, 1961, to Billie Dean and Maryanne (Burk) Cox in Iowa City, Iowa. He grew up in Baxter where he attended Lincoln Triads School. Nicky was a staple in the Baxter community from Baxter Fun Days to assisting the city crew staff as well as the Baxter School Bus drivers. He was loved by all that had the opportunity to meet him. Nicky and Maryanne were never separated for a day in his life until her health would no longer allow her to watch after him. Nicky loved it when the whole family was together. His other loves in life were WWE Wrestling, the Iowa Hawkeyes (and Iowa State too), fishing and drinking coffee with Bob, music, singing and dancing to Grease. He is survived by a very endless long list of family and friends that will cherish his memory forever. Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care has been entrusted with the care of Nick.
