Noel Stanley Texeira Sr., 76, of Zearing, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on Maui at a later date.

Noel was born on December 25, 1949, in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, to John and Theresa (Silva) Texeira. He was raised on Maui and graduated from Kailua High School with the Class of 1967.

Following graduation, Noel was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

After his military service, Noel moved to Colorado, where he welcomed his first daughter, Stacy. He later returned to Maui, where he and his ex-wife Kathy raised four more children. During his years in Hawaii, Noel built a successful career as a hotel management trainee, sharing his knowledge and passion for hospitality with others. He also worked at Arisumi Brothers where he worked as a heavy equipment operator until he retired in 2015 at the age of 65. In 2017, he relocated to Zearing, Iowa, with his significant other, Brenda Lee, where they made their home together.

Noel found great joy in spending time with his family and friends. He loved golfing, competing in golf tournaments, traveling to Las Vegas, and visiting casinos. Whether on the golf course or surrounded by loved ones, Noel's warm spirit, sense of humor, and love of life left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his significant other, Brenda Lee; his children, Stacy (Brian) Wendt, Dawn (Robert) Suenaga, Noel (Mary) Texeira Jr., Travis (Tess) Texeira, and Sean (Kathleen) Texeira; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Theresa "Cookie" Texeira; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa Texeira, and his brothers, John and Thomas Texeira.
