Philip Roger Elliott, age 64 of Colfax, IA passed away on July 18, 2024, following a long illness. He was at his home surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held on September 21, 2024, at the Woodland Park in Newton, Iowa at 1:00 p.m. Philip was born September 22, 1959, in Streator Illinois, to Quintin and Charlotte (Parker) Elliott. Philip grew up in the country near Newton, Iowa. He was involved in 4-H, FFA and worked on the family farm. Philip graduated from Newton High School in 1978. He worked at Maytag for several years and at the Newton Motor Inn after that. Philip enjoyed time with his family being outside especially in the morning with his coffee. He also enjoys cooking with his own twist listing to his favorite music on his stereo. He was a very funny man and could turn anything into a good laugh. Philip is survived by his children Amanda Elliott, Aimee (Chad Crady) Elliott, Jacob Briese, Isabelle Wilkins-Elliott, Austin Wilkins-Elliott, and Aspin Wilkins; grandchildren Willow White, Alexa Harden, Kaylee and Kayden Noga, Marcus Brown, Acelynn Crady, Leila Briese, Braxton Elliott, and Everley Elliott-Hedlund; brother Norman (Deb) Elliott and sisters Cheryl Willemsen and Karen (Justin) Richmond; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Kuryn Crady, his nephew Joseph Brown, and many aunts, uncles and grandparents. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
