Rebecca "Becky" Buerckley, 65, of St. Anthony, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the State Center Specialty Care Center in State Center, Iowa. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. Becky Ann Buerckley was born on August 20, 1951 in Story City, Iowa to Bert and Gladys (Smith) Hobbs. She attended and graduated high school in Ellsworth, Iowa. Following school, she married William "Bill" Buerckley on August 8, 1972. The couple resided in rural St. Anthony where they raised their family. Becky worked for over 30 years at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Zearing as a certified nurse's aide before retiring. She was a member of the Zearing Christian Church in Zearing. She loved to spend time with her family, go camping, attend auctions, collect cookie jars and salt and pepper shakers. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her sons David (Lisa Meyers) Buerckley, Ben (Lori) Buerckley, and Robert (Sherri O'Braden Reiner) Buerckley; her ex-husband Bill Buerckley; many grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters Vickie Trainer, Rita (James) Shackleford, Dorothy Hobbs; half-sister Ruth Ann (Dave) Laws; special care provider McKenzie Buerckley; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mike, Gary, and George. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family and mailed to Fredregill Funeral Home, 310 N.
