Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care, 107 N. Main St., in Baxter from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. Her memorial service will be held at the funeral home on July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Becky was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on August 7, 1949, to Kenneth and Beatrice (Klauenberg) Richardson. She grew up in Baxter where she attended Baxter High School and graduated with the class of 1968. Following school, she moved to Altoona for a short while before returning to Baxter. Becky worked at Maytag in Newton and where she was able to retire from. Once retired she managed the trailer parks and apartments, laundry mat, and Bea's Place in Baxter. She married Marty Osland in Iowa City in 2000 and the couple lived in North Liberty. After Marty passed away she returned to Baxter. Becky was very active in the Baxter community and started the after-prom committee. She was very organized and clean; some ever said you could eat off of her floor. She loved to paint, decorate and rearrange her house and other people's houses.
She was a member of the Baxter Congregational Church and the Catholic Church. Becky enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and singing. Becky had a massive stroke which confined her to a wheelchair. She could fully understand everyone but struggled to communicate. Becky's chains have been broken and she is now running and talking freely in Heaven.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter Missey (Randy) Roush; grandchildren Haley (Eric) Bullard, Shania (Ivy) Moore, Kennedy Gullings, Jusson (Jordan) Roush; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Deaton; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of Becky and her family.
