Sharon Rae Keeley, 77, of Newton (formerly of Baxter) passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter (107 North Main Street) from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Sharon was born on February 11, 1947, to Elmo "Pete" and Rhoda "Ocea" (Summers) LaMar. She was raised in Albia, IA, where she enjoyed reminiscing on times past with her friends, family and church (the First Christian Church). Later, life's journeys moved Sharon to Jasper County, where she worked hard taking care of others with her degrees of CNA, CMA and phlebotomy. Before and after retirement, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren, road trips and vacations. Sharon loved to sit and visit with friends and family, bird watch, share recipes, color on her tablet and blare those westerns on the TV. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Stacy (Rodney) Pearson of Baxter; grandchildren, Samantha, Devin, Rebekah, children Stefanie Clufph, Rodney (Laura) Fallon, Gary Fallon and grandchildren Austin Penning, Emily Fallon, Ashley Fallon She was preceded in death by her parents, life partner Hans Lenz, and grandson Jacob Fallon. Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care have been entrusted with the care of Sharon and her family.
