Susan "Susie" Perisho, 75, of Zearing, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa. A private family graveside service will be held at the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing. Susie was born on February 12, 1951, to Robert and Cleo "Maxine" (Grinstead) Hansen. While her early years involved moving around Central Iowa, her family eventually made their home in Zearing. She graduated from NESCO High School in the class of 1969 and went on to earn her certified nursing assistant certificate from Marshalltown Community College. In 1971, she married Howard "Hank" Perisho, with whom she raised a family in Zearing. For over a decade, Susie worked as a nurse's aide in Story City. Together with her family, she dedicated time to maintaining more than 45 yards by mowing and snow removal, as well as caring for city and county properties. Susie enjoyed spending quality time with her significant other, Robert "Bob" Grady. She cherished camping with her grandchildren, visiting Sam's Club, savoring Diet Coke, and showing love to animals. She is survived by her children, Rebekka (Hethe) Hanson and Robert "Bobby" (Lacey) Perisho; grandchildren Zackary (Anna) Phillips, Tyler (Emri) Perisho, Taevin (Courtny) Perisho, and Nash Perisho; great-grandchildren Birdy, Sicily, Daxon, and two more on the way; as well as siblings Danny (Laura) Hansen, Patti (Travis) Watson, and David (Jim) Hansen. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cleo "Maxine" Hansen; her husband, Hank Perisho; and her significant other, Bob Grady.
