Virgina Mae Golly, 97, of Zearing, Iowa, passed away on January 24, 2024. A graveside service for Virginia will be held on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing, Iowa. Virginia was born to H. O. and Ruth (Adams) Steelman on October 13, 1926. She grew up in Zearing, graduating from Zearing High School in 1944. In 1946, she married John Marvin. The two owned and operated a meat locker and laundromat in Zearing for many years. Virginia also worked for Fredregill Family Funeral Home of Zearing for eight years. Virginia was a member of Honey Creek New Providence Friends Church, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, as well as many social clubs. She loved crocheting, her camper, and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nina Kjarland; grandaughter Mikka (David) Belding; and tons of nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her grandson Bryce, and her siblings.
