Wayne Blessing, 66, of Iowa Falls and formerly of Zearing, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Zearing, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Zearing City Park Shelter from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow and begin at 3:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Wayne was born on August 10, 1955 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Harold and Voleta (Jackson) Blessing. He grew up in Melbourne, Iowa and attended West Marshall, graduating with the class of 1974. Immediately after school Wayne joined the BAC Local 3 and began his career as a bricklayer. Most small-town main street buildings and local city signs all around Central Iowa Wayne has either help fix or build. On August 10, 1995 Wayne married Mary "Jo" Campbell and the couple moved to Zearing. Wayne enjoyed road tripping with Jo, spending time with his family, traveling, antiques, gardening, and working. He was also enjoyed restoring pioneer cemetery stones. He was an avid fan of racing and Dale Earnhardt was his idol. Other sports teams he liked were the Atlanta Braves and the Las Vegas (Oakland) Raiders. Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife Jo Blessing; children Tashia (Evan Liggins) Blessing, Ian (Hope) Foley, Eric (Elizabeth) Foley, Taine (Rickie) Blessing, Trae (Jordan) Blessing, and Tori Blessing; grandchildren Skylar, Keenan, Iris, Jackson, Calasta, Olivia, Aiden, Eleanor, Demrie, Korie, Hugo, Bentley, and Easton; brothers Greg (Laura) Dickel and Allen Blessing; second dad "Rosie" Lavern Williams; many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
